Star Stones

Star stones are the respective gems of the birth houses in the *western zodiac astrology. They differ from the accepted birth stones in that they are planetary stones. Of coarse, these stones carry with them certain magickal powers/uses, and one should fully research their properties in relationship to the respective planet, and how it can be most beneficial to your own workings of magyk.
The following list will show some information of varying degrees. This list is but a starting point for those who desire to seek further knowledge in these ways. The writer believes that all persons seeking their "path" should get to know their true inner spirit and follow its' direction(s), not the ones of your mortal mind or self.

Please note: You may think there are mistakes in this listing in moving from one month to the next, but they are not really there. *Western Astrology divides the houses in such a manner that they are in part of one month and part of the following month. Example: When it came to listing the "Talisman" aspect of star stones, a particular house may have one recognized in one part of its' time, but not in the other part.

For the month of January:

Both modern and traditional birthstones recognized is the Garnet. There are some who also say that the Rose Quartz belongs to this month. Other notes of interest include that the Emerald is quite possiby a **mystical birthstone for January.

Star Stones by house:

Capricorn (Dec.22-Jan. 19)
Birthstone possibilities: Ruby, Agate, Garnet
Planetary (main star stone): Lapis Lazuli
The gem some consider as a "lucky charm" for Capricorn is the Ruby.
As a Talisman: Onyx has the most considerations.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Birthstone possibilities: Garnet, Moss Agate, Opal, Amethyst.
Planetary (main star stone): Turquoise
Considered as "lucky charms": would include the Garnet, and the hyacinth.
As a Talisman: Jasper has the most considerations.

For the month of Febuary:

Amethyst is both the modern and traditional gem. On the other side of things the Onyx and Moonstone are thought to be of Febuary. As for **Mystical possibilities, the Bloodstone is favoured.

Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 18)
birthstone possibilities: Garnet, Moss Agate, Opal, Amethyst.
Planetary (main star stone) Turquoise
Considered as "lusky charms" would be the Garnet, and the hyacinth.

Pisces: (Feg. 19-Mar. 20)
birthstone possibilities: Rock Crystal, Sapphire, Amethyst, Bloodstone.

For the month of March:

The modern birthstone recognized is the Aquamarine while the traditional stone is the Bloodstone.
**Mystical birthstone considered is Jade. On the other side of things the Rock Crystal is considered birthstone for the month.

Both modern and traditional birthstones are the Diamond. Considered **Mystical is the Opal. And on the other side of things; Quartz and White Sapphire are considered birthstones for March.
